Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven Technical Sales Manager to develop customer relationships and grow sales of technical and engineering solutions. The role combines technical understanding with consultative selling, working closely with customers, engineers and internal teams to identify requirements and deliver suitable solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with engineering, manufacturing or technical sales experience who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and working on technically focused projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Identify new business opportunities within engineering and industrial markets.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations.
Work closely with engineering and project teams to develop customer solutions.
Conduct customer meetings, product presentations and technical discussions.
Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts, targets and commercial performance.
Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms with customers.
Research market trends, competitors and potential growth opportunities.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering, manufacturing or a related commercial role.
Strong understanding of technical or engineering products and solutions.
Proven ability to develop customer relationships and generate new business.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales processes.
Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly to customers.
Confident using CRM systems, Microsoft Office and sales-reporting tools.
Engineering, technical, business or related qualification is desirable.

Pay: £38,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
