We are a busy and growing e-commerce business based in Ilkeston, looking for an E-commerce Operations Coordinator to take responsibility for the day-to-day processing and coordination of our online orders.
This is a fast-paced, computer-based operational role at the centre of our order fulfilment process.
You'll work across several online selling channels and courier systems, making sure orders are prioritised correctly, shipping labels and picking lists are prepared, tracking information is uploaded and our warehouse team always knows what needs to be dispatched next.
You don't need to know our systems already – we'll teach you. What we do need is someone who learns quickly, is confident with computers, highly organised and capable of working independently once trained.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the daily flow of online orders across multiple sales channels
- Reviewing and prioritising orders according to delivery service and dispatch deadlines
- Generating and printing courier shipping labels
- Preparing and organising picking lists for the warehouse team
- Uploading tracking information and updating order statuses
- Monitoring orders throughout the day to make sure dispatch deadlines are met
- Identifying orders requiring additional attention and resolving straightforward issues
- Communicating priorities clearly to our picking and packing team
- Working with different e-commerce, courier and order management systems
- Checking information carefully to ensure orders are processed accurately
- Taking ownership of the daily order-processing workflow
Who we're looking for
We're less interested in impressive qualifications and more interested in how you think and work.
You'll be a good fit if you:
- Learn new software and processes quickly
- Ability to speak Polish due to our customer, and product range.
- Are confident using computers and working across multiple systems
- Are highly organised and good at prioritising
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Can work quickly without becoming careless
- Are comfortable making routine decisions independently
- Can manage your own workload without constant supervision
- Stay calm and organised when there are lots of orders to process
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy solving small day-to-day operational problems
Previous experience in e-commerce, order processing, dispatch, logistics, online retail or warehouse administration would be useful, but it is not essential.
We're happy to train the right person who can demonstrate strong computer skills, organisation, common sense and an ability to learn quickly.
What we offer
- Permanent, full-time employment
- Monday–Friday daytime working
- No night shifts
- Full training on our systems and processes
- Small and friendly team
- Independent role with responsibility for your own workload
- Performance and pay reviews
- Opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the business continues to grow
What success looks like
Once trained, you'll be able to start your working day, review the orders requiring dispatch, establish the correct priorities and independently keep orders moving through the warehouse.
You'll become the person our warehouse team relies on to make sure they have the correct picking information, shipping labels and priorities throughout the day.
If you're quick to learn, comfortable with technology, organised and enjoy taking ownership of your work, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
