Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic cleaning industry startup. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing business by overseeing daily administrative operations, managing team activities, and supporting overall organisational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with experience in office administration and team supervision. This paid position is integral to maintaining smooth business functions and fostering a positive work environment.

Duties

Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings
Oversee bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate financial records and invoicing
Supervise administrative staff and support team management activities
Handle human resources responsibilities such as onboarding new employees, maintaining personnel records, and staff scheduling
Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, suppliers, and team members
Maintain organised filing systems for documents, contracts, and correspondence
Assist with clerical tasks including data entry, drafting correspondence, and managing office supplies
Support marketing efforts by preparing promotional materials and updating online presence as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the office environment

Requirements

Proven experience in office administration or related roles within a startup or small business setting
Demonstrable supervisory or team management experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service abilities
Knowledge of human resources procedures and best practices
Previous office or clerical experience is highly desirable
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving capabilities
