About the role

As Senior Alumni Engagement Manager (Events) you will lead the development and delivery of UCL's central alumni events programme, creating inspiring experiences that strengthen lifelong relationships with our global alumni community of almost 500,000. Working at the heart of UCL's ambitious Here, it will happen campaign, you will shape an innovative portfolio of in-person, hybrid and digital events that encourage alumni engagement, volunteering, advocacy and philanthropy.

You'll lead the continued evolution of flagship programmes such as UCL Connect, identify new opportunities to expand our events offering, work closely with colleagues across UCL to embed alumni into major institutional events, and use insight and audience data to continually enhance our programme. Alongside leading an exciting programme of events, you'll manage and develop a talented team, building best practice that can be adopted across the university.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.

We are happy to consider applications to work on a part-time/flexible basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE – equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata).

About you

You'll have substantial experience designing and delivering large-scale, high-quality event programmes that engage diverse audiences and create memorable experiences. You'll bring excellent strategic planning and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets and stakeholders while maintaining exceptional standards.

You'll be experienced in using audience insight and data to shape engagement strategies, developing innovative approaches that deliver measurable impact. You'll be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, building trusted relationships and influencing across a complex organisation.

We're looking for a creative leader who can inspire and develop others, with experience of managing teams and delivering ambitious programmes that support organisational objectives. Experience within alumni relations, philanthropy, membership organisations or stakeholder engagement would be highly valued, alongside an understanding of fundraising within a Higher Education environment.
