Full job description

We are looking for an inspiring, people-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our tight-knit team of 7 staff. We are seeking a positive, uplifting leader who genuinely boosts morale, motivates the team, and upholds our exceptional standards.

If you are an adaptable professional with extensive kitchen experience who thrives on clear communication, we want to hear from you. This is a very hands-on role requiring you to work directly alongside the team in a busy unit preparing buffet items. While the schedule is predominantly Sunday through to Thursday, complete flexibility is essential to cover varying customer requests including occasional evening or weekend shifts when required.

Working Hours & Renumeration

Schedule: Mon–Thu: 6am – Finish (usually 2pm) & Sun: 7am – Finish (usually 1pm)
Pay: £16.50 - £17 per hour
Time Off: 28 days annual leave including minimum 1 week off over the Christmas period

Role & Responsibilities

Operational Excellence: Oversee and carry out daily production, support staff with buffet preparation and customer order packing, manage stock and waste
Daily Workflow & Compliance: Distribute daily tasks, support supplier orders for the week ahead, complete daily due diligence paperwork, and carry out opening/closing checks.
People Leadership: Mentor our 7-staff team, train new starters, resolve conflicts, and collaborate closely with our Operations and Delivery Managers.
Food Hygiene & Standards: Take full accountability for 5-star, audit-ready food safety and compliance logs.

Must Haves:

Minimum 10 years experience managing people
Minimum 20 years experience working in a kitchen, preferably including some cooking experience
Full Driving License

Pay: £16.50-£17.00 per hour
