We're looking for an experienced People Technology & Information Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of the systems, information and digital tools that support the delivery of HR and OD services across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how technology supports colleagues and managers throughout their employment journey, ensuring services are accessible, efficient and user focused.
You'll lead a specialist team supporting a workforce of over 8,500 employees across diverse front-line and corporate services, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of People Technology and workforce intelligence helping colleagues and managers make the most of the tools and information available to them. Working closely with HR and payroll colleagues, Finance, Digital and Data teams, and external partners, you'll improve processes, strengthen workforce information, and support informed decision-making across the organisation.

What we're looking for:
People Technology Manager
Extensive experience of leading, developing and optimising iTrent, including configuration, workflow automation, self-service functionality, reporting, security structures and process improvement. You’ll have the ability to translate organisational requirements into effective technical solutions that improve user experience, operational efficiency and workforce insight.
Workforce Information Champion
Experience of workforce data, management information and reporting, with the ability to use information to improve understanding, support decision-making and drive service improvement.
User-Focused Leader
A passion for improving the experience of colleagues and managers, ensuring systems, processes and services are accessible, effective and easy to use.
Relationship Builder
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, partners and suppliers to support, guide and enable the effective use of People Technology.
Team Developer
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and support colleagues across specialist areas.
Improvement and Governance Focus
Experience of managing system access, information governance and service improvements, ensuring workforce information remains secure, accurate and trusted.
What you'll be working on

Shaping the future roadmap for the Council's People Technology platform.

Driving greater use of employee and manager self-service.

Enhancing workflow automation and digital processes.

Improving workforce analytics and organisational reporting.

Supporting integration with wider corporate systems and data platforms.

Identifying innovative uses of technology to improve colleague experience and service delivery.

You'll play a key role in shaping the future development of the Council's iTrent platform, leading the implementation and optimisation of modules including Rostering, Performance & Talent, Learning & Development and Recruitment, while driving greater use of automation, self-service and workforce analytics
Key responsibilities:

Lead the development and continuous improvement of People Technology, workforce information and management reporting services.

Take ownership of HR systems, including iTrent, ensuring they support the delivery of HR and OD services and provide a positive experience for colleagues and managers.

Lead and develop a specialist team (3-4 colleagues) delivering People Technology, workforce information and services that support colleagues and managers across the organisation.

Develop workforce information and management reporting that helps colleagues and managers understand workforce trends and make informed decisions.

Support the development of workforce information capability across the organisation, improving the quality, accessibility and use of information over time.

Promote the effective use of People Technology through user engagement, guidance, training and continuous improvement.

Manage system access, security and information governance arrangements, ensuring workforce data is protected and appropriately managed.

Manage relationships with MHR and other technology partners, ensuring effective delivery of system developments, upgrades and support arrangements

Work collaboratively with HR and payroll colleagues, Finance, Digital and Data teams, and external suppliers to improve services, processes and user experience.
