About the role

Are you an experienced administrator who thrives on organisation, accuracy, and making a real difference behind the scenes?

As a Senior Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting senior managers within Children's Social Care, helping ensure that critical information is managed accurately and effectively. You'll be at the heart of a busy and rewarding service, working closely with Children's Social Care and Legal Services to support legal processes, maintain high-quality records, and provide valuable data that helps shape service performance and decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with complex information, takes pride in delivering high standards, and wants to contribute to improving outcomes for children and families.

You will be working within a small but perfectly formed team of 3 and after a period of successful training you will be able to work remotely, visiting the office fortnightly

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for providing high-quality administrative and data management support within a fast-paced environment where accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality are essential.

You will manage and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases with details received from court and legal teams, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and available for reporting and analysis.
You will develop a sound understanding of the legal framework within Children's Social Care, reviewing court documents and legal records to extract and record key information
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Children's Social Care and Legal Services you will support effective case progression and performance monitoring.
You will help ensure systems, processes, and procedures are consistently followed and continuously improved.
You will take effective minutes for decision making meetings and manage shared inboxes within the team
Supporting the coordination, productivity, and quality of work across the team, you will provide guidance and assistance where needed.
You will deliver regular feedback and information to managers and key stakeholders.
You will maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection at all times.
You'll be part of a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service, where your contribution will have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the service.

About you

You're a highly organised and proactive professional who enjoys managing competing priorities and finding solutions to challenges.

You'll bring:

Significant experience in an administrative or business support role, with the ability to work accurately in a demanding environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel which you will use daily
The ability to analyse information, maintain detailed records, and manage data with a high level of accuracy.
A solution-focused approach, using your initiative to resolve issues and improve processes.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the confidence to work across teams and support colleagues effectively.
The ability to coach and support others, helping the team embrace new systems and ways of working.
A thorough understanding of confidentiality, data protection requirements, and the importance of handling sensitive information appropriately.
