Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Assistant Accountant and play a vital role in supporting our financial operations with enthusiasm and precision. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a fast-paced environment, contributing to accurate financial reporting and efficient transaction processing. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial data, ensuring compliance, and supporting the broader accounting functions that keep our organization thriving.

Duties

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using various accounting software platforms such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, and Workday
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments
Support month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation
Manage and update vendor records, ensuring all information is current and accurate
Collaborate with the finance team to prepare reports related to financial services and other accounting activities
Maintain organized records of financial transactions, supporting audit processes and compliance requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting procedures by identifying opportunities for automation or efficiency gains

Skills

Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Workday is highly desirable
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services operations
Experience working with multiple accounting platforms to streamline workflows
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to communicate clearly with team members and external vendors
A proactive attitude towards learning new systems and improving existing processes
