Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in the Solar market. The region covered is from the North West postcodes to Cornwall with the SN postcode being farthest East.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and building a Sales Team that are covering quality confirmed appointments. The role involves managing a Sales Team to maximise the sales opportunities together with field support and coaching. Recruitment of new sales team members to support the growth of the Region.

The role is a hands on and you would be expected to own a sales target and use your skill and expertise to achieve this. Leading from the front you would be expected to attend field appointments with your team and cover appointments yourself as your team grows.. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership and organisational skills to make a significant impact within our organisation. The position is self employed with a generous retainer, car and fuel allowance plus override on the teams sales.

The role is suitable for candidates with a proven track record in management and direct sales such as Solar or Double Glazing.

Duties

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organisational targets.
Lead, motivate, and supervise the sales team to ensure high performance.
Monitor sales activities to achieve sales targets.
Organise training sessions for the sales team, product knowledge, and customer service standards
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics using organisational tools
Collaborate with marketing teams to maximise lead flow.

Requirements

Proven management experience with a focus on managing teams within a sales environment (ideally Double Glazing, Insulation or Solar)
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide staff towards achieving targets
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrable experience in sales management.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
Administrative experience including report writing, data analysis, and record keeping
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional phone manner
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience in Direct Sales management roles involving team management, is preferred.
