Full job description

Are you looking for your next step in the Warehousing and Logistics sector? Do you have previous experience you can share with your team? We have just the role for you!

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Warehouse Colleague to join our team at Ikea in Dartford.

This is a full time, permanent role, on night shifts, working 40 hours per week, 18:00 - 06:00 on a 4 on - 4 off shift pattern

Career development and progression

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Carry out training of new employees, and daily operational tasks
Assist and oversee van area procedure, ensuring all vans are completed by following the process and in a reasonable time manner
Aid and assist with Warehouse Operatives’ development and continuous improvement
Cover Supervisor’s duties during their absence
Adhere to all of GXO Health & Safety policies at all times
Physically demanding role which includes lifting and shifting of furniture

What you need to succeed at GXO:

MHE experience is essential, minimum PPT or LLOP
Driving licence is desirable but not essential
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Expert in planning 12T and 3.5T vehicles’ process
Extensive experience in warehouse environment
Ability to work under pressure on your own initiative in a continually changing and demanding environment
