Are you an experienced QA & Audit Manager looking for a new challenge within a dynamic and supportive environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Children Services QA & Audit Manager to work with the Service Manager, Quality Assurance & Safeguarding, to manage the QA and Audit function for the Children and Family Services. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the improvement and safeguarding of children and young people’s services within our organisation.

The Role

As the Children Services QA & Audit Manager, you will be responsible for:

Taking a lead and managing all quality assurance and audit activities.
Implementing and maintaining robust QA and audit processes to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Analysing data and producing reports to provide insights and recommendations for service improvement.
Collaborating with key stakeholders to drive positive change and enhance the quality of services delivered to children and families.
Contributing to the overall management and leadership of the Children and Family Services.

This post is a Sensitive Post for the purpose of the Local Government Housing Act 1989 and the post-holder is therefore restricted from engaging in any prescribed political activities. The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Extensive experience in a QA and audit role within a children’s services environment.

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
Effective leadership and people management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
