Competitive basic salary plus uncapped commission

Realistic OTE £60,000-£80,000+

Help customers make confident decisions about solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and EV charging.

Pogo Energy designs and installs renewable energy systems. We are looking for a technically curious sales consultant who can understand a customer's goals, recommend an outline solution and explain it clearly.

Most conversations begin with an inbound enquiry. You will use the customer's energy use, property information, budget and future plans to shape an initial recommendation, prepare a clear proposal and guide them through the decision. Our design and operations teams provide detailed technical validation and specialist support.

This is consultative sales. Success comes from asking good questions, giving clear advice, keeping your promises and following up at the right time. You will own your pipeline and be accountable for achieving agreed sales targets.

The role

Manage enquiries about solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and EV charging.

Understand what each customer wants to achieve and identify the products that best fit their needs.

Develop outline system recommendations using Pogo Energy's information, pricing and proposal tools.

Explain expected generation, savings, payback, warranties and the installation process in plain English.

Prepare and present accurate proposals.

Work with our design, surveying and installation teams when specialist technical input is needed.

Keep customers informed and progress suitable opportunities from first conversation to signed order.

Maintain accurate notes, quotations and next actions in the CRM.

Provide the operations team with a clear, complete handover after the sale.

Keep your product and market knowledge current.

Customers understand the recommendation and why it suits them.

Proposals are clear, accurate and sent promptly.

Your pipeline is well managed, with consistent and professional follow-up.

Sales targets are achieved without compromising the suitability of the system or the customer experience.

Orders reach the design and operations teams with the information they need.

What you will bring

The confidence to lead a detailed customer conversation by telephone or video call.

The ability to learn technical products and explain them simply.

Good commercial judgement and evidence that you can progress customers towards a decision.

Experience working to sales, revenue or other commercial targets.

Strong organisation, accurate record keeping and reliable follow-up.

A straightforward and credible communication style.

The ability to work primarily from our Loughborough office.

Relevant backgrounds

We are open to several routes into the role, including:

Solar, battery or heat pump sales.

Technical or engineering sales.

Energy assessment, energy advice or high-value home improvements.

Solar or electrical installation combined with customer-facing or sales experience.

Renewable energy design, estimating or surveying with an interest in a commercial role.

A renewable energy, electrical or mechanical engineering degree combined with customer-facing experience.

Experience with OpenSolar, Easy PV, CRM systems or renewable energy proposals would be useful.

What Pogo Energy offers

Competitive basic salary.

Uncapped commission with realistic total earnings of £60,000-£90,000+, depending on performance.
