Company: WS Training part of Brightpeak Group
Location: Ipswich & Haverhill

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, across 5 days | Term Time Only
Salary: Up to £29,874 FTE (Actual £24,487.20 - £26,197.20 per annum pro rata based on term-time working)

Expected start date: September 2026

About Us:

Due to continued growth within our Study Programme provision, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Placement & Careers Advisor to join our team.

Role Overview:
As a Careers & Placement Advisor, you’ll provide careers guidance, secure work experience placements, and help learners develop the skills and confidence needed for further education or employment.

Working with employers, learners, and internal teams, you’ll coordinate placements, monitor progress, and ensure all experiences are meaningful, safe, and aligned to individual goals. You’ll also build strong employer relationships and support learner progression through tailored guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the current tracking systems for the learner engagement.
Identify suitable transition routes for learners on Study Programme and identify the support and steps required to transition successfully, ensuring progression is achieved.
Support with the transition of new learners moving into Further Education or from other provisions on to the Study Programme.
Develop resources to assist learners to gain further education or employment.
Organise and attend events relevant to Study Programme learners.
Build rapport and good working relationships with parents/carers and all external agencies linked with a young person, ensuring communication is maintained.
Ensure all learners, where appropriate, receive a schedule to receive CIAG throughout their programme.
Develop relations with external organisations to provide CIAG to learners on Study Programme.
Ensure all learners, where appropriate, have suitable work experience placements organised at the start of their programme and hours are recorded.
Attend external networking meetings and events to increase business profile and support with marketing strategies.
Develop employer relations to maximise opportunities for work placements and employment.
Collate and analyse data on work experience statistics identifying trends and gaps, inputting into continued improvement.

What are we looking for:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Broad experience with learner and employer engagement.
Minimum of a level 3 Information and Guidance qualification (or willingness to train)
Minimum of a level 2 functional skills or equivalent in maths and English

Essential requirement:

Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business cover insurance is essential for this role
