Senior Software Engineer | Nottingham, UK | Full-Time

We're looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in Nottingham, UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support our business and customers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the technical direction of complex projects while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll:

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and services.
Lead the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver business requirements.
Review code, provide constructive feedback, and promote engineering best practices.
Mentor and support junior developers, encouraging technical growth across the team.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Contribute to software architecture, system design, and technical decision-making.
Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

Experienced in designing and developing commercial software applications.
Proficient in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experienced with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Knowledgeable in modern development practices including Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
An excellent communicator with strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
Analytical with outstanding problem-solving abilities.
Passionate about delivering high-quality software and continuous improvement.

Previous experience in software engineering, backend development, frontend development, full-stack development, cloud engineering, DevOps, or related technical roles is required. Experience leading projects or mentoring developers is highly desirable.
