Thrive under the pressure of live television? Sky Sports News has an exciting opportunity for two Studio Reporters to play a key role in bringing the biggest stories, moments and conversations to millions of fans.
From live studio analysis and breaking news coverage to data driven storytelling and digital content creation, you'll be at the heart of our editorial operation, delivering engaging journalism across television, mobile and social platforms.
Working alongside some of the industry's leading presenters, producers and pundits, you'll help shape the stories that matter and bring sport to life for audiences everywhere.
What you'll do:
Live Studio Performance
- Perform on set across flagship studio programmes, delivering live reporting, analysis, and interviews.
- Contribute confidently to live discussions, analysis segments, and breaking news coverage alongside presenters and pundits.
- Present clear, engaging, and authoritative reporting that enhances the viewer experience across the channel’s studio output.
Data-Driven Journalism
- Collaborate with data journalists and research teams to produce insightful on-air segments and packages.
- Translate complex statistics and analytics into accessible, compelling storytelling for audiences.
- Contribute to the development of original, data-led stories that inform both studio segments and wider coverage.
Digital & Social Video
- Create bespoke video content for digital and social platforms, adapting reporting for mobile and online audiences.
- Produce short-form reports, explainers, and reaction clips to complement broadcast coverage.
- Work closely with producers and the digital team to ensure content is optimized for the Sky Sports App and social channels, extending stories beyond television.
Editorial & Collaborative Duties
- Work alongside producers, assignment editors, and correspondents to shape and develop coverage for live broadcasts and digital content.
- Maintain strong relationships with clubs, governing bodies, and industry contacts to support reporting.
- Contribute ideas for segments, interviews, and digital initiatives that enhance the channel’s editorial output.
Field Reporting & News Coverage (As Required)
- Contribute to the general reporting pool, supporting the newsroom with breaking news and sports coverage across the channel.
- Be available to report on location, covering interviews, press conferences, training sessions, and live events.
- Deliver live or recorded reports from stadiums, clubs, and sporting events, ensuring accurate, timely, and compelling coverage.
- Work collaboratively with producers and correspondents to maintain cohesive and high-quality reporting across all platforms.
Essential Criteria:
Experience of delivering linear, digital and social content in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Demonstrate strong live reporting, interview and writing skills.
Detailed understanding of editorial standards and legal compliance, ensuring all content adheres to the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, with a focus on accuracy, balance and responsible journalism.
Experience of building relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
A strong work ethic, a willingness to work unsociable and flexible hours.
Ability to work independently and display strong collaboration skills as part of a team.

How you’ll work:
This is an on-site role at the heart of a fast-paced, live sports news operation. You'll work closely with presenters, producers, and pundits to deliver engaging content across television, digital, and social platforms. Given the nature of live sports coverage, flexibility will be required, including some weekend and bank holiday working.
