Salary details: Grade 7 - 8, £28,598 - £38,221 (pay award pending)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Flexible working arrangements: Flexi-time available, core hours to be covered due to service requirements

This post operates under a Career Grade/Grading Assessment Scheme, with starting salary and progression through the grades being linked to experience, qualifications and level of work being undertaken.
The post may be appointed at Grade 8 where the successful candidate holds, or is actively working towards, an appropriate Civil Engineering qualification (Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent) and can demonstrate substantial relevant experience and technical competence in flood risk and drainage asset management. (Duties and responsibilities would be reviewed If entering at Grade 8)

To support the delivery of all aspects of Flood Risk Management activities, primarily through the effective management of drainage and flood risk assets. The role involves assisting with asset inspections, maintenance programmes, flood investigations, project delivery, and data management, while helping to develop and implement solutions that reduce flood risk and improve network performance. Working closely with colleagues, contractors, developers, and stakeholders, the postholder will provide technical support to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practice.
