Registered Manager
Location: The Old Rectory Elderly and Dementia Residential Care Home
Hours: 40 per week (full-time)
Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Are you an experienced leader looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of older people? The Old Rectory is seeking a passionate and dynamic Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team and ensure the highest quality of care for our elderly and dementia residents.

About the Role:
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with CQC standards, delivering person-centred care, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff. You will lead by example, inspire your team, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve excellent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong, visible leadership and management to staff, promoting a culture of quality, compassion, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the daily running of the home, including care delivery, staffing, budgets, and compliance.
Ensure all regulatory and legislative requirements are met (CQC, safeguarding, health & safety, etc.).
Develop and implement care plans that respond to residents’ individual needs and preferences.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
Lead on recruitment, retention, and staff development, including supervision and appraisal.
Manage complaints, concerns, and incidents in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this qualification.
Significant experience in a management or senior care role within a residential or dementia care setting.
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of CQC standards, care planning, and safeguarding.
Commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and choice for all residents.
