You will be working in the infrastructure OU based in Watford in where our team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide – combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places

We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager - Energy Sector who will commercially lead a project (or multiple smaller projects) in the Skanska Infrastructure Energy Sector at various stages of the project lifecycle, both pre-contract and during project mobilisation and delivery.

As the Commercial Manager - Energy Sector, you will:

Formulate commercial strategies to win work and provide a platform for profitable delivery.
Lead the project commercial team and the link between commercial and other project functions such as the delivery team, procurement and finance.
Seek to agree optimal contract terms with the customer, focusing on de-risking Skanska’s position and maximising opportunities.
Monitor and manage the procurement procedures for subcontracts, securing the right deal for Skanska and ensuring that scope, pricing and programme information is aligned.
Develop estimates and work closely with the delivery, estimating, planning and technical teams to produce robust pricing submissions.
Undertake line management responsibilities for direct report staff.

We are looking for:

A strategic commercial mindset with an interest in maximising commercial results of the project whilst focusing on customers.
Experience of managing commercial teams.
Experience of working on infrastructure projects of £30m+ and preparing pricing information to develop into price submissions to the customer.
Good working knowledge of standard forms of contract such as NEC4 and a good understanding of construction law matters.
Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.
