Softwerx is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Consultant / Developer to take ownership of the setup, optimisation, and day-to-day management of our Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement environment.
This role is critical in enabling our sales, marketing and service delivery teams through efficient automation, customisation, insightful dashboards and best-practice CRM usage.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer with accountability to the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer, the successful candidate will act as the internal subject matter expert for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and the Power Platform, ensuring the system supports revenue growth, reporting accuracy, GDPR compliance, and operational efficiency.
Candidates must have a can-do attitude with the ability to work well under pressure and will play a key role in the company’s overall growth strategy by maintaining and developing the CRM system in conjunction with our Power BI Developers and DevOps Engineers. In addition to delivering actionable insights through dashboard reporting the successful candidate will lead data cleansing initiatives to support prospect and customer engagement.

Location: This is a remote hybrid role with weekly visits to the Cambridge Head Office at CB22 3GN (may change depending on business requirements).
Hours of work: Full-time 37.5 hours per week to be worked between the core hours of 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday.
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 pa dependent on experience.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Ownership
- Own the configuration, administration, and ongoing optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Insights Journeys, and Customer Service.
- Manage users, security roles, and permissions.
- Oversight of customisations and solutions.
- Support the creation of marketing campaigns where necessary.
- Customer Service Enablement
- Support the service delivery teams to define and implement a case management service to migrate from another provider's platform.
- Implement service contract management.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to build integration with our secure365, support365 and future planned services from Softwerx.
- Sales & Marketing Enablement
- Support the marketing team with the creation of Journeys and marketing campaigns.
- Manage data import (contacts, accounts and leads) for marketing campaigns.
- Provide support with CRM best practice, troubleshooting, and training.
- Power Platform & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain Power Automate flows to improve efficiency (e.g. lead routing, consent updates, data syncs, notifications).
- Translate business requirements for reporting across the Dynamics 365 applications and work with our Power BI developers to deliver actionable insights for sales performance and marketing effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for automation across sales and marketing processes.
- Data Quality & Governance
- Lead data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment initiatives.
- Ensure CRM data structure supports accurate reporting and segmentation.
- Maintain GDPR-compliant consent management, preference centres, and data retention processes.
- Continuous Improvement
- Proactively recommend enhancements to improve system usability and business outcomes.
- Stay up to date with Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform releases and roadmap changes.
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes.
- Work closely with other sales and marketing functions, taking on strategic projects where required that will align and contribute towards wider marketing and business objectives.
- Proven hands-on experience building and managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Sales and Customer Service).
- Strong experience with Power Automate and Dynamics dashboards/reporting for data visualisation.
- Solid understanding of CRM data structures, data hygiene, and lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting sales, marketing and service teams in a B2B environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Able to work independently and with a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with change, and a strong bias for action and attention to detail.
- Very strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Very strong organisational skills, with a capacity to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and initiatives.
- Experience with Customer Insights / Real-Time Marketing.
- Power BI experience.
- Familiarity with GDPR and consent management within CRM systems.
- Microsoft certifications (Dynamics 365, Power Platform).
