This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join us!
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in supporting the organisations hybrid infrastructure across established cloud platforms and on-premises estates
A significant portion of the role requires ownership and resolution of complex support issues covering advanced topics in a complex technical infrastructure. The successful candidate will also work on technical work stream delivery within numerous IT projects.
This is a Fixed Term Contract which will end 30 September 2027.
The role is office-based, Monday to Friday, with the option to work from either our Hemel Hempstead or Leeds office.
Key Duties:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for cloud-hosted and on-premises server environments and networks.
- Contribute to lifecycle management and drive continuous improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Participate in change control, testing, and deployment of infrastructure services.
- Take a proactive approach to technical issues and requirements, working closely with the service delivery team.
- Provide 3rd-line IT infrastructure support to the business, ensuring technical issues are solved in a timely manner, keeping with SLA’s within the team.
- Collaborate with operational support teams and peers, with a strong focus on mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with NHS Professionals security team, providing technical knowledge and guidance, ensuring NHS Professionals security posture remains strong.
- Ensure the integrity of security practices within the organisation, contributing to on-going accreditation and certification.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation in support of IT infrastructure services and processes.
The successful candidate will have:
- Technical experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft technologies and solutions.
- Educated to A-Levels or equivalent. Any additional IT industry certifications would be desirable
- A hands-on consultative approach to working with the company’s customers and directly with senior management and technical staff.
- A strong background in collaborating with operational IT teams
