Location & Reporting
89 Charterhouse St, Farringdon, London, EC1M 6PE
Reporting to the Head of Technology and Development, as Full Stack Software Engineer for
NGS, your primary focus will be on developing new features and enhancements for our App
and Platform SaaS products. You will also be responsible for taking a feature or system from
concept through to production and beyond.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Development:
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across front-end and back-end codebases for an app & web platform.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following team standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with the Head of Technology and Development and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Debug and resolve production issues, identifying root causes rather than just symptoms.
- Contribute to API design and integration between services.
Collaboration & Process:
- Work within an agile collaborative environment.
- Document technical decisions and system architecture.
Technical Environment:
- Develop primarily in Go and React, building modern web applications and backend services as well as React Native, Xcode, and Android Studio for mobile device applications.
- Work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server across transactional and reporting workloads.
- Deploy applications using Docker/Podman into Azure-hosted Linux environments.
- Build and maintain APIs, background services, scheduled jobs, and data processing pipelines.
- Use Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines to deliver software safely and reliably.

- Calm and methodical under pressure, particularly during incidents or outages.
- Collaborative team player who gives and receives feedback constructively.
- Detail-oriented, especially around security, reliability, and data integrity.
- Agile Mindset, experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (e.g. React, Vue, or Angular).
- Solid experience with back-end development using Go (preferred) or another. modern language such as Node.js, Python, Java, C# etc.
- Practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and external systems.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also considered).
- Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker or Podman; Kubernetes is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Git and modern version control workflows.
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments, using command-line tools and writing shell scripts.
- Understanding of software security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Azure Monitor, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Better Stack, or CloudWatch).
- Experience working with Xcode, and Android Studio.
- Exposure to microservices and distributed systems.
- Experience working with React Native and iOS/Android mobile application development.
- Experience working in a SaaS or B2B software environment.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Experience working with Azure networking and cloud infrastructure (VNets, Private Endpoints, Front Door, etc.).
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00, hybrid or remote based but with exceptions:
