Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will ensure that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations. A commercial bias is preferable.

Candidates will require their own transport to site and have the required tools for standard plumbing and heating tasks.

Could lead to permanant employment for the right candidate

Responsibilities

Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in heating systems, providing effective solutions.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate heating systems with existing plumbing infrastructure.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while on-site, ensuring a safe working environment.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex heating systems.
Experience using hand tools and power tools safely in a variety of settings.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
Familiarity with plumbing practices related to heating systems is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs.
Valid driving licence is essential for transporting equipment to job sites.
