We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic self-starter to join our team as an Automation Engineer. The role is required to support the delivery of multi-organizational integration, end-to-end process automation projects and our enterprise data warehouse (including MDM, ODS and historic, modelled data). The ideal candidate will be an experienced automation/integration engineer with a software development background, who enjoys optimizing systems as well as building them from the ground up.

Support our engineers, automation architects and analysts on initiatives, ensuring the optimal delivery architecture is applied throughout ongoing and future projects.

As a staff engineer, hold a strategic understanding of company priorities and make technical decisions to solve business problems.

Lead on engagements with various stakeholders, including business leaders and the product and data teams, for deep, complex or high-risk technical projects, controlling the communication around them and supporting their infrastructure needs.

Provide context and technical direction, contribute towards technical specifications and help document processes.

Design, develop, simulate and test the automation and integration tasks, leveraging the enterprise-scale integration tools in the Azure tech stack (including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and Azure SQL) and Microsoft System Center Orchestrator.

Create and maintain optimal integration solutions, including data integration architecture, and support our current integrations.

Manage, review, monitor and report on the status of the services that provide automation and integration services for the organisation.

Act as the escalation point for all associated incidents to the service.

Stay current with industry trends and developments, evaluating new technologies and implementing them where required.

Plan and implement technology upgrades, maintenance and fixes.
