About the Role
Imperio Digital Business Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support business decisions through accurate reporting, data interpretation and performance analysis.
You will work with operational, commercial and digital teams to collect, organise and analyse information from multiple business systems. Your findings will help stakeholders understand performance trends, identify opportunities and improve the quality of business decisions.
This position is suitable for an experienced analyst who can work confidently with large datasets, explain complex findings clearly and produce practical recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Collection and Preparation
Collect data from internal systems, spreadsheets, databases and third-party platforms.
Clean, organise and validate datasets to ensure that information is complete, consistent and suitable for analysis.
Identify missing values, duplicate records and data-quality issues before reports are produced.
Reporting and Dashboard Development
Create and maintain regular operational, commercial and performance reports.
Develop clear dashboards that allow managers and stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators.
Improve existing reporting processes by reducing unnecessary manual work and increasing reporting accuracy.
Data Analysis
Analyse business performance, customer activity, operational efficiency and digital service data.
Identify trends, patterns, risks and areas where performance can be improved.
Compare current results against targets, previous periods and agreed benchmarks.
Business Intelligence Support
Use business intelligence tools to transform raw data into clear visual reports and actionable insights.
Support teams with ad hoc analysis for projects, meetings and business reviews.
Help define suitable metrics and reporting standards for new initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with managers, project teams, marketing specialists, finance colleagues and technology professionals to understand their reporting requirements.
Translate business questions into structured analytical tasks.
Present findings clearly and explain how the results may affect business decisions.
Data Quality and Governance
Follow established procedures for handling, storing and sharing business information.
Support improvements to data definitions, reporting standards and documentation.
Ensure that confidential and commercially sensitive information is handled appropriately.
Forecasting and Performance Monitoring
Support forecasting, planning and target-setting activities by providing accurate historical analysis.
Monitor performance against forecasts and investigate significant differences.
Prepare summaries that explain the causes of changes in business results.
Process Improvement
Review reporting and data-management processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
Recommend practical changes that increase efficiency, accuracy and visibility.
Work with technical teams when changes to systems, databases or reporting tools are required.
What We Are Looking For
At least two years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting or a related analytical role.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups and data-cleaning techniques.
Practical experience using SQL to retrieve, filter and analyse data.
Experience using a data-visualisation or business-intelligence platform such as Power BI or Tableau.
Ability to interpret data and turn findings into clear business recommendations.
Good understanding of data-quality principles and reporting controls.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in large datasets.
Confident written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and respond to changing business priorities.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with different departments.
Desirable Experience
Experience working within digital services, technology, consulting, marketing or business operations.
Knowledge of Python, R or another analytical programming language.
Experience working with customer, sales, finance, marketing or web-analytics data.
Understanding of data protection and responsible information-handling practices.
Experience automating reports or improving manual data processes.
Familiarity with cloud-based databases, CRM platforms or enterprise reporting systems.
Education and Professional Background
A degree or equivalent professional experience in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, business information systems or a related discipline is preferred.
Relevant professional certifications in data analysis, Power BI, SQL or business intelligence would be advantageous but are not essential.
Pay: £2,750.00-£3,000.00 per month
