About the role

We're looking for a customer-focused Accommodation Advisor to join our busy Accommodation team. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll provide a professional front-of-house service, welcoming students, visitors and contractors while supporting the day-to-day administration of our halls of residence.

From managing enquiries, check-ins and check-outs to resolving issues, coordinating maintenance requests and supporting student events, you'll help ensure our residents receive an exceptional experience throughout their stay. Working closely with colleagues across multiple sites, you'll play an important part in maintaining safe, well-managed accommodation while supporting key operational periods such as student arrivals, departures and summer turnaround.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building positive relationships and making a real difference to the student experience.

Please note that, due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work shift patterns (8:00am–4:00pm or 11:00am–7:00pm), Monday to Friday. There will also be weekend shifts during term time on a rotational basis (Saturdays, 9:00am–5:00pm), as well as weekend shifts during the summer on both Saturdays and Sundays, also on a rotational basis.

About you

You'll be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and thrive in a busy, people-focused environment. Whether you've worked in student accommodation, hospitality, retail or another customer-facing setting, you'll be confident handling a wide range of enquiries with professionalism, empathy and efficiency.

You'll be an organised, adaptable and proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, maintaining attention to detail and using Microsoft Office and administrative systems to support the smooth running of day-to-day operations. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues, remain calm under pressure and take pride in finding practical solutions to deliver an exceptional service.

Experience within student accommodation, hospitality or residential services would be advantageous, but we're equally keen to hear from candidates with transferable customer service and administrative experience who are looking to build a career within higher education. Above all, you'll be committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment and delivering an outstanding experience for every student.
