Creative Lead - Head Office - Northgate Arena - Chester

Based at: Hybrid/Head Office, Northgate Arena, Chester

Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week

Contract type: Permanent, Part Time

Salary: Grade 7 - £31,537

Job Purpose:

To produce and lead on a wide range of creative design projects which have a high visual impact and helps drive income and attendance through all our sites and our local communities. You will also be the gatekeeper for the Brio brand, ensuring this is reflected across all offline and online spaces.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the development of initial concepts, use creative design to produce material, for both digital and offline content.

Work alongside the Content & Campaigns Manager to develop the design process from project proposals and requests to type setting through to design, print and production, for both online and offline campaigns.

Support and manage the Creative Designer role, leading their personal development, and scheduling their workload and direction of material production.

Liaise with colleagues regarding design style, format, print production, and cost whilst working to deadlines and specific project time scales.

Work with the Content & Campaigns Manager to establish a cost for each project, ensuring the department stays within budget.

Advise on and produce a range of digital and print material, ensuring a clear understanding of the purpose and target audience of the material.

Develop and support other members of the department to develop interactive media, including illustrations, animations and video.

Design and develop engaging and innovative digital campaigns which span across website, social media, app and email newsletters.

Be responsible for leading the design and production of ad hoc graphics for internal and external use.

Understand and have experience in using design software, including the Adobe, Figma.

Understand key components of branding to develop and apply the company brand guidelines to all marketing and promotional material produced for internal and external use.

Develop knowledge and understanding of digital design best practices, including wireframes for websites which promote UX and clear calls-to-action to drive business objectives.

To provide high standards of customer care at all times in accordance with agreed standards/procedures.

To carry out any other relevant duties as required, within the scope of the post and the Marketing Team.

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Creative Design Experience.

Two years’ experience of working in a creative design role.
Experience in use of Photoshop and illustrator as well as digital design systems e.g Figma.
Competent in use of Mac and PC.
Experience of branding.
Ability to illustrate and create organic designs

Knowledge of digital and print marketing.

Job Related Knowledge:

Knowledge in typography, layout and image manipulation.
Ability to understand and interpret a wide range of briefs covering all areas of the Company.
Ability to support and nurture other team members on design and branding.

Skills And Aptitudes:

To be able to produce initial concepts through to the creative design and production of a range or marketing material.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail around design, content, and layout.
Ability to work on multiple concepts, under pressure, whilst meeting strict deadlines.
Well organised and self-motivated.
The ability to plan, schedule and timetable workloads.
Be able to work as part of a team, sharing ideas, giving and receiving constructive feedback.

Other Requirements:

Ability to travel throughout Cheshire West and Chester.
Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Have a commitment to accuracy in their work.
