Site Manager
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to support the successful delivery of construction and fit-out projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating day-to-day site activity, leading subcontractors and trades, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and specification.
Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Coordinate subcontractors and trades across areas such as groundworks, channels, cladding, steelworks, mechanical and electrical works, and painting and decorating.

Support effective planning, sequencing and programme management to ensure key project milestones are achieved.

Use project programmes, including Asta Programming where required, to monitor progress and plan upcoming activity.

Lead proactive health and safety management, including inspections, risk controls, site procedures and compliance requirements.

Monitor site progress against agreed budgets, programme and commercial expectations.

Identify, record and escalate variations, risks, delays and potential extension-of-time matters promptly.

Attend client progress meetings, provide clear project updates and maintain accurate site records.

Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability and continuous improvement across site teams and subcontractors.
About You
-
Previous experience in a Site Manager, Construction Site Manager or similar site leadership role.

Strong practical knowledge of construction and/or fit-out project delivery.

Confident coordinating subcontractors, trades, materials, site activity and programme requirements.

Good understanding of health and safety standards, risk management and site compliance.

Ability to read and work from project programmes, drawings, specifications and site documentation.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, subcontractors and external stakeholders.

Organised, proactive and able to resolve site issues while maintaining momentum.

Flexible approach to travel and working hours depending on project needs.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

SMSTS or equivalent site management safety qualification.
-
CSCS Manager, Gold Supervisory card or equivalent construction certification.
-
First Aid at Work certification.

Experience using Asta Programming or similar project planning software.

Experience working on live construction, refurbishment or fit-out projects.
