Full job description

Are you a qualified Vehicle Technician looking for your next career move? We are recruiting an experienced Automotive Technician on behalf of a well-established client. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy, professional workshop environment with excellent earning potential and a genuine work-life balance.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will carry out the full range of mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance across a variety of vehicles. Day-to-day duties include:

Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
Performing repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and electrical systems
Conducting thorough vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer specifications
Maintaining accurate workshop records of all inspections, repairs, and parts used
Ensuring all work meets health and safety regulations and company procedures
Delivering excellent customer service and communicating repair requirements clearly to customers

Hours & Pay

Salary: From £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Bonus scheme: negotiable for the right candidate
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (flexible)
Saturday overtime: available for those who want it
Holiday: 28 days per year including bank holidays

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair — essential
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
Ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle faults independently
Solid knowledge of vehicle systems and routine maintenance procedures
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload in a fast-paced workshop
Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
