Full job description

Please note that this whilst this is a term time position, the candidate must be able to work full time during those weeks and be flexible during the nursery opening hours.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team on a term-time only basis. You will help provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children aged 0–5 years can learn, play and thrive.

Main Duties

Deliver high-quality care and learning in line with the EYFS.
Act as a Key Person, building positive relationships with children and families.
Plan and support engaging activities that promote children's development.
Observe, assess and record children's progress.
Help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment.
Work as part of the nursery team to meet Ofsted and safeguarding requirements.
Undertake general nursery duties, including snack preparation, tidying and setting up activities.

Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
Sound knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Caring, patient, reliable and enthusiastic.
Well organised, flexible and able to work on your own initiative.
A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
