Full job description

Stour Surgery is a welcoming, supportive GP practice serving a growing list of 10,800 patients. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and friendly Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.
Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments.
Managing patient records and ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Processing new patient registrations, and other administrative tasks.
Processing and responding to emails.
Working collaboratively with the wider clinical and administrative team.

What We're Looking For:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Good IT and administrative skills.
A professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach.
Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting is preferred, although candidates with strong customer service and administration experience will also be considered.

Hours of Work:

30 hours per week.
Shifts will be discussed and confirmed at interview.
Availability to work both Monday and Friday is essential.
