Overview

Join our innovative team as a Game Developer and bring immersive, engaging gaming experiences to life! In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and refining cutting-edge games across multiple platforms. Your passion for gaming, combined with your technical expertise, will drive the creation of captivating gameplay, stunning visuals, and seamless user interfaces.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement game features using programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, and PHP, ensuring high performance and stability across Android, iOS, and web platforms.
Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate assets created with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Maya, SketchUp, and 3ds Max into engaging game environments.
Utilize game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine to build immersive worlds and realistic physics simulations.
Design and optimize game mechanics by leveraging APIs, SDKs, RESTful services, and cloud platforms such as AWS for scalable multiplayer experiences.
Write clean, efficient code adhering to MVC architecture principles while conducting thorough debugging and testing using tools like Visual Studio, GitHub, SVN, Perforce, Jira, Trello, and Test Cases.
Manage version control workflows effectively with Git or SVN to ensure smooth collaboration among team members.
Develop front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap frameworks, React.js, and Angular for intuitive user experiences.
Create comprehensive documentation including technical specifications and user interface guidelines to support ongoing development.
Participate in code reviews and team meetings to share insights on best practices in software development and game design.

Experience

Proven experience in software development with a strong portfolio of shipped games or interactive applications.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, PHP, and Java within a game development context.
Extensive knowledge of game engines including Unity and Unreal Engine for 3D modeling (Maya), animation (Adobe After Effects), UI design (Adobe Illustrator), and scene composition (SketchUp).
Familiarity with front-end development technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap frameworks, React.js or Angular for creating engaging user interfaces.
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server for managing game data persistence.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies including OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), MVC architecture, debugging techniques, test case creation, and version control systems like GitHub or Perforce.
Knowledge of cloud services like AWS for deploying scalable multiplayer games or online features.
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams using project management tools such as Jira or Trello.
Familiarity with APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), SOAP protocols for web services integration, shell scripting for automation tasks, and Linux environments for server-side development is highly desirable.

Pay: £91,000.00 per year
