Due to staff retiring we are seeking to appoint to the role of clinical skills tutor in the Prosthetic & Orthotic department at the University of Salford. We are looking for a dynamic Prosthetist/Orthotist to join the academic team as Clinical Skills Tutors to help shape the future P&O workforce. Working with the Head of Subject and lecturers in the team, the post holder will deliver high quality teaching and learning to deliver excellent outcomes and student experience across pre- and post-registration Prosthetic and Orthotic education, enterprise and research.
We are looking for a motivated, creative and ambitious Prosthetist/ Orthotist who is keen to develop in an academic role. The candidate will build on our strengths to meet the demands of a changing health and social care landscape. The candidate must be an excellent team player who is willing to work on a variety of activities and tasks both within the Prosthetic and Orthotic team and in the Directorate and wider School/University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career within an innovative, progressive and supportive environment with a range of opportunities for development.

Please note this is a full time, permanent role, however we would consider part time/job share.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of teaching materials and modules, marking and assessing work
- Work with the students in practical sessions to help them gain the direct skills required for the role
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, design, develop and deliver a range of high-quality programmes of study at all levels.
- Support development and delivery of innovative, simulation and practice-based learning opportunities within our programmes.
- Promote equality and diversity for students and staff and sustain an inclusive and supportive study and work environment in accordance with university policy
