Senior Data Analyst
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who can turn complex information into clear, commercially meaningful insight and help teams make better decisions with confidence. This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-impact analytical work across business performance, customer activity, operational efficiency, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, business teams, data engineers, finance, operations, product, and technology colleagues to understand business questions, investigate data, and translate findings into practical recommendations. You will be trusted to manage analytical projects from initial requirements through data preparation, analysis, visualization, and presentation. The role combines advanced technical analysis with strong business judgment, making it well suited to an experienced analyst who enjoys working with both data and people. You will also help strengthen reporting standards, improve data quality, automate recurring analysis, and identify opportunities to make decision-making faster and more effective. Success in this position means delivering accurate insight, communicating it clearly, and demonstrating how data can improve measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex analytical projects from requirements gathering and data discovery through analysis, visualization, recommendations, and stakeholder presentation.
- Analyze large and varied datasets using advanced SQL, Python, statistical techniques, and business intelligence tools to identify meaningful trends and opportunities.
- Develop executive-level dashboards, KPI frameworks, management reports, and interactive visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms.
- Translate complex business questions into clear analytical approaches, measurable objectives, data requirements, and actionable conclusions.
- Build and maintain advanced SQL queries using joins, common table expressions, window functions, subqueries, aggregations, and performance optimization techniques.
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, cleansing, and quality checks to ensure analytical outputs are accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Monitor business performance indicators and investigate significant movements, anomalies, variances, emerging trends, and potential operational risks.
- Apply statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation, regression, hypothesis testing, and other quantitative techniques where appropriate to support business decisions.
- Partner with data engineers to improve analytical datasets, data pipelines, source integration, transformation logic, and data availability.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting and analysis using SQL, Python, Power Query, Power BI, or workflow automation technologies.
- Present analytical findings to senior stakeholders using concise business narratives, compelling visualizations, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Establish consistent definitions for KPIs, reporting metrics, analytical methodologies, business rules, and data interpretation across relevant teams.
- Contribute to data governance and data quality initiatives by documenting sources, definitions, assumptions, lineage, controls, and analytical processes.
- Mentor junior analysts, review analytical work, share technical knowledge, and promote effective data analysis and visualization practices across the team.
Requirements

- Demonstrated experience creating sophisticated dashboards and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence platforms.
- Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities, including PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, data analysis, and management reporting.
- Experience working with relational databases, data warehouses, and modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
- Practical knowledge of ETL and ELT concepts, data pipelines, data modelling, data integration, data validation, and data quality management.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, regression, experimentation, segmentation, and quantitative decision-making techniques.
- Experience working with KPI frameworks, performance reporting, financial or operational metrics, and business performance analysis.
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata, data lineage, master data concepts, information security, and responsible handling of business data.
