As a Performance Analyst within SP Energy Networks' Customer Service Directorate, you'll play a key role in helping the business understand and improve its performance through meaningful reporting, data analysis and insight. Working as part of the newly established Performance, Reporting & Insight team, you'll help create a single, trusted view of performance across Customer Service by delivering accurate and timely operational, management and regulatory reporting.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team at an early stage of its development, helping shape future reporting capabilities while building experience across operational performance, customer insight and regulatory reporting. Your work will support informed decision making, drive continuous improvement and contribute to the delivery of excellent customer outcomes as SP Energy Networks continues to support the transition to a cleaner, greener energy future.
What you'll be doing
You'll develop and maintain dashboards, key performance indicator reporting and data visualisations using tools such as Excel, Tableau and Power BI, ensuring stakeholders have access to clear and actionable performance information. Through the analysis of complex datasets, you'll identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities, helping operational teams and leaders make informed decisions that improve business performance.
You'll build strong relationships across the Customer Service Directorate, developing a detailed understanding of the areas you support and working closely with colleagues to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions. You'll also contribute to regulatory and operational reporting activities, while supporting ongoing improvements in reporting processes, data quality and analytical capability to help establish the Performance, Reporting & Insight team as a trusted source of insight across the business.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with experience producing reporting, analysis or management information that supports operational or business decision making. You'll be comfortable working with data, translating findings into meaningful insights and communicating these clearly to a range of audiences.
You'll also bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities within complex datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms.
- Experience working with data preparation and analysis tools, including Power Query or comparable solutions.
- The ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and understand business requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
