Full job description

We are looking to recruit a linen porter to work in our busy housekeeping department.

As Housekeeping Linen Porter your role is critical to ensure the smooth running of the Housekeeping Department. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Unpack all linen cages and store linen safely on shelves, checking deliveries are correct
Collect all dirty linen from guest Floors, sorting counting and making ready for delivery
Load washing machine and dryer when appropriate.
Ensure dry cleaning is logged correctly and ready for driver’s pick-up.
Check and sign off any housekeeping stock and move to appropriate storage areas.
Periodic visits to floors to load room attendants’ trolleys with linen
External building cleaning, including litter patrol and general cleanliness.
General cleaning duties within the department.
Assist guests with their requests wherever required.

The candidate needs to be physically fit and willing to be flexible.

The role will be up to 6 hours a day . You may be required to work weekdays and weekends,

Timings will be approx 9 am - 3 pm depending on the needs of the business.

Exact starting times and finishing times to be discussed at interview.

This is a casual contract with shifts dependent on the needs of the business. However it is expected to be 4 shifts per week.

There may also be the opportunity to pick up room attendant shifts depending on the needs of the business.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
