Job Summary

About the role

To provide high-quality, efficient and compassionate administrative support to the clinical and medical teams, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of hospice services. The Clinical Administrator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective patient care by coordinating referrals, maintaining accurate patient records, managing clinical communications and providing comprehensive administrative support to multidisciplinary teams.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across Southern Hospice Group, as well as patients, families and external healthcare professionals, the post holder will deliver a professional, responsive and confidential service. They will contribute to the effective coordination of clinical services, uphold data quality and governance standards, and support continuous service improvement to ensure the highest standards of patient and family care.

You'll be

Providing a welcoming first point of contact for patients, families and healthcare professionals.
Managing referrals, supporting triage and maintaining accurate patient records.
Liaising with GPs, hospitals and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Supporting clinical teams with rota coordination, diaries, meetings and general administration.
Preparing professional correspondence, reports and clinical documentation.
Coordinating meetings, taking minutes and ensuring actions are recorded and followed up.
Maintaining confidential electronic records and handling sensitive information in line with GDPR.
Supporting finance processes, stock management and day-to-day operational administration.
Helping to ensure safe staffing through administration of rotas, annual leave and timesheets.
Providing excellent customer service and resolving queries with professionalism and empathy.
Working collaboratively across Southern Hospice Group to deliver a seamless administrative service.
Contributing to service improvements and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Providing flexible administrative support across teams as service needs require.
