Full job description

Eligibility: Open to students completing a placement that forms an assessed part of a UK higher-education course

About Acodia

Acodia is a London digital agency working across four service lines: Learn (tech education), Launch (career development), Defend (cybersecurity) and Reach (digital marketing). We build our own products alongside client work, including Pulse, our marketing platform for local businesses.

We’re a small team, which means placement students here do real work with their names on it — not admin.

The role

You’ll work directly with the founder as our first dedicated content person, turning creative direction into published work across Acodia’s channels and our clients’ campaigns.

What you’ll do

Plan and maintain the content calendar across our channels
Write and design social posts for LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok
Shoot and edit short-form video
Draft blog posts, case studies and website copy
Support email campaigns and newsletter content
Create marketing material for our own products and client accounts
Track performance and report monthly on what’s working
Research competitors, trends and creators in our clients’ markets

What we’re looking for

Essential:

Currently studying marketing, media, journalism, business or a related subject, with a placement forming part of your course
Strong, clear writing — you can shift between a polished brand voice and a practical B2B one
Comfortable creating and editing short-form video
Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut or Adobe tools
Organised enough to run a calendar without being chased
Right to work in the UK

Nice to have:

A personal account, portfolio or student project where you’ve built an audience
Photography or basic graphic design skills
Familiarity with Later, Buffer or Meta Business Suite

You don’t need agency experience. We care about taste, initiative and how you write.

What you’ll get

Direct mentoring from the founder, with no layers between you and the decisions
Live published work across real client accounts for your portfolio
Exposure to agency marketing, SaaS product marketing and brand work
Support with your university placement reporting and assessment
[Travel and lunch expenses covered]
Strong possibility of a paid role for the right person at the end of the placement

1. Write one Instagram caption for a AI training course platform.

2. Write one LinkedIn post promoting a marketing tool to the owner of a local Restaurant.
