Full job description

We are looking for a d GP to take on a Salaried GP role for 4 sessions. More sessions will be available in future. The candidate should be willing to take on partnership in future after a mutual assessment of 1 year.

The job is for a fixed term of 1 year as a Salaried GP .

We are a small 2 partner Practice with own building and car park. All staff are very friendly and patients are very loyal.

We teach final year medical students. Incoming GP will also be encouraged to become a GP Trainer.

BMA recommended GP Contract will be given.

Main duties of the job

Clinical sessions, prescription management, dealing with paperwork on Docman, supervising nursing colleagues, pharmacists and GP assistant, training final year medical students , attending meetings both internal & external.

Overview of our organisation

We are a small, friendly 2 partner practice based in Radcliffe, Manchester. This vacancy is arising because of the a Salaried GP leaving soon due to personal circumstances. To start with ,the contract is being offered as a fixed term for one year. Partnership will be available for suitable candidates. We have 2 part time Salaried GP's and 2 regular locums .

We have a part time Practice Nurse, HCA, In house Clinical Pharmacist and a PCN Pharmacist . We have full cohort of non clinical staff supporting the GP's & Nurses. We are also a part of Bury PCN, with ARRS staff including, First Contact Physiotherapist, Paramedic, Clinical Pharmacist, Social Prescriber & Mental Health Practitioner. We teach 5th Year medical students and we received Gold Award Certificate this year.

Job summary and scope

The salaried GP is responsible for providing medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of health needs.

This will include, but is not limited to, surgery and telephone consultations, home visits when PCN Paramedic is not available , administration, complying with the practices contracts (GMS/enhanced services), and the education and training of junior/trainee clinical staff.

Line manager is GP Partner.

Essential Criteria: MRCGP , Eligible to be on Performer's List. Eligible to work in UK.

Preferable criteria: Wanting to be a GP Partner and GP Trainer . Additional preference for Family Planning Services including IUD insertion.

Pay: £99,000.00-£108,000.00 per year
