Part-Time Personal Assistant — Swansea (Office Based)
Location: Swansea, South Wales — our private office close to the city centre.
Hours: Part-time, 16 hours a week across 3 days, with the occasional extra hour here and there when needed. Your days and hours will be agreed in advance so they fit around your childcare (if required), and then kept the same each week to give a settled, reliable routine (the odd one-off change now and again is no problem).
Pay: £13 per hour, with any additional hours paid at the same rate
Job type: Part-time.
About the role
Swansea-based property developer and entrepreneur with a growing group of businesses across property and care homes, and I’m looking for a reliable, well-organised Personal Assistant to help keep things running smoothly day to day.
This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days look quite the same. You’ll be the person who keeps me and the office organised, stays on top of the detail, and makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. It would suit someone who enjoys being trusted to get on with things and take ownership of their work.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing my diary, inbox and calls, and keeping me on schedule
- General office administration and keeping the office running day to day
- Building, updating and maintaining spreadsheets, trackers and records
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, tenants and other contacts on my behalf
- Sourcing materials and products, and carrying out product research
- Preparing, organising and filing paperwork and correspondence
- Ordering supplies and handling occasional errands (including the odd drop-off or collection to and from projects)
- Supporting across the different businesses as needed
- Ad hoc support to me as things come up
What I’m looking for
- Highly organised and reliable, with a real eye for detail
- Proactive — happy to use your initiative and work things out rather than wait to be asked
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Confident with spreadsheets — comfortably building and working in Excel or Google Sheets is an important part of this role
- Comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Claude) as an everyday part of the job — I use AI right across the business and want someone who’s happy to do the same
- Good all-round computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office / Google
- Basic finance/bookkeeping skills, ideally some Xero experience (this is an advantage, not essential)
- Discreet and trustworthy — you’ll see a lot of the business
- A full UK driving licence (this is an advantage but not essential), as the role includes occasional errands
- Previous PA, admin or office experience — ideally a couple of years — though the right attitude and reliability matter just as much.
Why join
- A genuinely varied role with plenty of responsibility and no two days the same
- A friendly, close-knit setup where your work makes a visible difference
- The chance to get involved across a growing group of businesses
- Casual dress and a relaxed office environment
- Set, regular days each week — agreed around your childcare or other commitments from the start, so you get a routine you can plan your life around
- Scope for more hours or to grow the role as the businesses expand
- Career progression opportunities available.
