Wates Residential is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cardiff, helping deliver high-quality affordable homes that transform communities.
As a developer-contractor, we invest, develop, build and sell quality affordable housing in partnership with Local Authorities, Registered Providers and public sector organisations.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll lead the commercial management of a major high-rise residential scheme, taking responsibility for procurement, cost control, valuations, change management and final accounts.
You'll:
- Manage subcontract procurement, payments and commercial performance.
- Produce cost reports, forecasts and procurement updates.
- Agree valuations and maintain positive project cashflow.
- Manage contractual notices, variations and risk.
- Support and develop junior commercial team members.
- Build strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
We're looking for someone with:
- Quantity Surveying experience within residential or main contracting.
- Experience delivering large-scale residential projects.
- Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach and a passion for delivering successful projects.
