Job Title: Data Insight & Systems Analyst
Responsible to: IT & Digital Systems Manager

OVERALL AIMS OF THE JOB
1. Support Cornerstone in delivering its Knowledge & Information Strategy through high-quality data insight, reporting, and technical system capability.
2. Act as a bridge between data, systems, and business operations—ensuring that data outputs and underlying systems are accurate, efficient, and aligned to organisational needs.
3. Provide technical support across core business systems, contributing to their configuration, optimisation, and ongoing development.
4. Derive insight from data to inform decision-making, improve services, and drive organisational performance and transparency.
5. Work closely with the IT & Digital Systems Manager to ensure systems, infrastructure, and data platforms support operational delivery and future strategy.
6. Operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and improvements across data and systems without requiring detailed direction.
7. Operate and report with a high level of accuracy and willingness to be accountable for the quality of work, including reporting and presenting directly to the Executive Team.
1. PERFORMANCE, DATA & SYSTEMS IMPROVEMENT
1.1. Business Analysis, Insight & Performance
· Deliver business and data analysis activities that support operational, strategic, customer, asset, and corporate objectives.
· Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance measures using Power BI and Microsoft technologies.
· Translate complex information into meaningful insight that supports decision-making and continuous improvement.
· Work with colleagues to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for service improvement.
1.2. Data Quality, Governance & Assurance
· Take ownership of data quality by validating information at source and ensuring data is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose.
· Work with data owners to identify root causes of data issues and implement sustainable improvements.
· Develop and maintain data standards, validation controls, and governance processes.
· Promote good data management practices and a positive data culture across the organisation.
1.3. Systems Administration, Support & Development
· Support the administration, configuration, development, and optimisation of core business systems.
· Provide technical support, troubleshooting, user onboarding, and access management.
· Contribute to system improvements that enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and data quality.
1.4. Digital Solutions, Integration & Automation
· Develop and maintain solutions using Microsoft technologies.
· Support and maintain integrations, data flows, APIs, and automated processes between systems.
· Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve business processes through technology.
· Work with the IT & Digital Systems Manager to ensure systems architecture and digital capabilities support organisational objectives.
1.5. Engagement & Continuous Improvement
· Build effective relationships with colleagues, data owners, suppliers, and partners.
· Provide clear advice and guidance on data, systems, reporting, and process improvement.
· Support the delivery of change initiatives through documentation, training, and knowledge sharing.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making.
2. GENERAL

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in a role involving data analysis, business analysis, systems support, or digital improvement roles.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards and performance insights using Power BI or similar tools.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Power BI, Fabric, SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience investigating and resolving data quality, system or process issues through root cause analysis.
- Experience working collaboratively with colleagues, data owners, suppliers and third parties to deliver improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Desirable
- Understanding of data governance, data management principles and data structures.
- Experience supporting organisational change, systems improvement or digital transformation initiatives.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience supporting, administering or configuring business systems.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL), GDPR, information governance and information security principles.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Dataverse or Power Automate, APIs, integrations or data pipelines.
- Experience within social housing, public sector or regulated environments.
- Experience delivering user training and maintaining system documentation.

- Willingness to work flexibly and occasionally outside normal working hours where required.
Salary: up to £40,000. The salary will be paid by BACS transfer on or before the 28th of each month.
Normal Hours of Work: The normal working week is 35 hours. Monday to Friday.
Holiday: The annual holiday entitlement is 27 working days per annum + 8 bank holidays.

Other Details: The offer of employment will be subject to references which are satisfactory to Cornerstone. The successful candidate will be required to complete a 6 months probationary period. During this time you will have regular meetings with your line manager to ensure we are providing the necessary training and support for your role. Providing the performance is satisfactory at the end of that time an appointment will be confirmed, subject to our normal terms and conditions of employment.
