Decrobond Ltd is looking for a Skilled Edgebander Operator to join our production team in Normanton. This is a hands-on role where your experience, attention to detail and commitment to quality will make a real difference.

The Role
As an Edgebander Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining our Biesse Edgebander, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
You'll be working as part of our production team, helping to keep work moving efficiently while making sure every component leaving your area meets the high standards our customers expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating the Biesse Edgebander safely and efficiently
- Setting up machinery and ensuring it is correctly prepared for production
- Carrying out regular quality checks throughout production
- Cleaning and carrying out routine maintenance of the machine
- Identifying and reporting any machinery or production issues
- Working from technical drawings, specifications and production instructions
- Using hand tools, power tools and other joinery machinery
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required standard
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who knows their way around a workshop and takes pride in getting things right.
You'll ideally have experience operating an edgebander or similar joinery machinery, although we're also interested in people with the right practical skills, attitude and willingness to learn.
Essential:
- Experience operating an edgebander or similar joinery machinery
- Good practical knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions
- A strong commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Good awareness of health and safety within a workshop environment
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills
Desirable:
- Edge Bander Experience
- Experience working with timber and joinery products
- Knowledge of different timber types and materials
- Experience with Biesse machinery
- Forklift licence
- Manual handling training

Previous joinery experience of around 3 years is preferred, but it is not essential if you can demonstrate the practical skills, attitude and work ethic we're looking for.
