About the Role:

Bromwich Digital Consulting Ltd is looking for a Principal Solution Architect to help shape scalable technology solutions for complex business environments. You will work across product, engineering, operations and client teams to translate business objectives into practical technical architectures.

This is a high level specialist role with significant technical ownership. You will influence architecture decisions, establish technical standards and mentor experienced engineers while remaining hands on with solution design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture: Design scalable, secure and maintainable technical architectures aligned with business and operational requirements.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and help establish practical standards for development, integration and deployment.

Architecture Governance: Review proposed solutions, identify technical risks and ensure projects follow agreed architecture principles and standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders, project teams and technical specialists to understand requirements and communicate complex technical decisions clearly.

Technology Evaluation: Assess platforms, frameworks and emerging technologies and recommend solutions based on business value, scalability and long term sustainability.

Delivery Support: Remain involved throughout implementation, helping teams resolve architectural challenges and ensuring the final solution reflects the agreed design.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, technology consulting or a related technical discipline, including substantial experience designing enterprise solutions.

Architecture Skills: Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, APIs, distributed systems, integration patterns, databases and enterprise application design.

Technical Leadership: Demonstrated experience mentoring technical professionals, leading architecture discussions and influencing engineering decisions.

Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.

Problem Solving: A pragmatic approach to architecture, with the ability to balance scalability, security, performance, cost and delivery requirements.

Mindset: You are commercially aware, technically curious and comfortable taking ownership of complex architectural challenges from initial discovery through implementation.

Pay: £6,700.00-£9,300.00 per month
