This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to pursue a career within the council’s successful Digital Team by developing and improving our website and online services. As a Lead Forms Developer, your role is to develop and maintain digital forms and create content for our council website.
You will be designing online webforms for customers to apply for council services, and you’ll have the opportunity to work within other developer disciplines including frontend web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), backend development, web services and some database integrations/queries using Microsoft SQL Server. You'll also work closely with internal departments and technical team members, translating their designs into content that provides a simple and intuitive journey for each type of user.

Main responsibilities of the position include:
Responsible for designing and developing intelligent web forms using the council's Customer Experience Platform (Granicus)

Undertake user testing using tools and techniques to understand the user experience and support the development of online services- .
Responsible for writing and publishing accessible web content that meets the needs and expectations of our citizens- .
Manage website content and ensure that content and communications are clear and concise- .
Working with internal departments to improve web content and promote best practice in content publication- .
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with working knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as HTML.
The successful candidate will possess experience of working in a Customer Experience Platform and Content Management System (CMS) to create, update and maintain digital content.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to think strategically and logically.

Experience of creating and developing online forms will be required. Working knowledge of front-end development frameworks such as HTML.
Proven experience of understanding user needs for web content, tools and transactional services, especially those with complex user journeys.
Understand The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018, and the development techniques required to comply with the legislation.
