Key Responsibilities: System Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and REST APIs. Ensure system security, speed, and long-term maintainability. End-to-End Delivery: Lead features through the entire software development lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and technical design to coding, testing, and production deployment. Technical Quality & Mentorship: Participate in peer code reviews, enforce best engineering practices, and provide constructive technical feedback that elevates the team's output. Performance & Optimization: Don't just make it work. Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance and database queries to ensure maximum uptime and responsiveness. Stakeholder Collaboration: Explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members and clients. You can explain why a specific architecture was chosen, not just that the code compiles.
What We Are Looking For: Experience: 3+ years in software development (backend, frontend, or full-stack), building web-scale software solutions. Technical Proficiency: Solid expertise with modern programming languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java) and relational database systems. Tooling: You are a power user of Git, RESTful APIs, modern web frameworks (React, Node, .NET), and cloud deployment practices. Language Skills: English (Full professional proficiency/C1+) is required for daily collaboration and client documentation. Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know when to push for architectural perfection and when to ship a functional MVP to gather real-world feedback.
Pay: £45,000.00-£59,000.00 per year
