About the internship
Vertergi Group, the company behind Care Banking, develops software used by NHS organisations to manage complex health and care services. We are offering two paid, 12-week internships for intelligent and motivated people who want practical experience across customer success, product support, training, data analysis, software testing and technology.
You do not need previous professional experience or existing coding skills. We are looking for people with drive, strong interpersonal skills, a logical approach and a genuine willingness to learn. You will receive practical training and work alongside experienced colleagues.
What you will learn and do
- Learn how a healthcare software platform works and how it supports customers.
- Help respond clearly and promptly to customer questions.
- Support online and face-to-face software training.
- Analyse, check and organise data using spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Test software features and record defects or improvement ideas.
- Help prepare training materials, guidance, reports and presentations.
- Observe customer implementations and product-development work.
- Receive an introduction to SQL, software configuration and coding.
- Complete a defined project and present your findings at the end of the internship.
Who should apply
- Current university students, recent graduates and people seeking their first professional technology role are welcome.
- A degree or current degree-level study is preferred, but the subject is not important.
- Strong spoken and written communication is essential.
- You should be confident talking to people and explaining information clearly.
- You must be accurate, organised, curious and willing to take responsibility.
- An interest in technology, healthcare, data or customer service would be useful.
- Existing coding experience is helpful but not required.
Location and international experience
The internship is based at our Cambridge office at 49–51 Norfolk Street, Cambridge, CB1 2LD.
Interns may also have the option to spend part of the internship with Talos4Tec, part of Vertergi Group, in La Laguna, Tenerife. Any Tenerife period is optional, subject to business requirements, mutual agreement and the intern meeting all applicable travel, immigration and work-eligibility requirements.
Interns choosing the Tenerife option will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. We will help identify suitable local accommodation, but we will not pay or reimburse these costs.
Terms
- Two internship places available.
- Fixed-term, 12-week paid internship.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Expected recruitment period: two to four weeks.
This internship is intended to provide meaningful practical experience rather than observation alone. Strong performers may be considered for future vacancies, although no permanent position is guaranteed.
Pay: £12.71 per hour

- Cambridge CB1 2LD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
