Our business currently focuses on premium Taiwanese seasonal produce, including Taiwanese mangoes and Golden Diamond pineapples, while continuing to develop relationships with producers, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers and business customers.

As our business continues to grow, we are investing in our technology and digital infrastructure. We are therefore looking for an experienced and ambitious Web Designer & WMS System Developer to join our team and play an important role in building the next stage of our business.
Job Overview
We are looking for someone who can understand our business operations and help us develop an integrated website, Warehouse Management System (WMS), inventory system and internal business tools.
The successful candidate will work directly with management and our operations team to understand how our products move from suppliers in Taiwan to customers in the UK, and then translate these processes into efficient digital systems.
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of major technology projects and help establish the company's long-term digital platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Key Areas of Responsibility1. Website Development & Design
Our website, www.madeintaiwan.co, is an important part of our brand and communication with customers and business partners.
You will be responsible for developing and continuously improving the website, including:
- Website design and user experience (UX/UI)
- Responsive design for desktop, tablet and mobile
- Development of new website pages and functions
- Improving website performance and usability
- Product and company information management
- Wholesale/business customer enquiries and communication functions
- Integration with internal company systems
- SEO and website structure
- Website security, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Development of future e-commerce or B2B functions where required
We want the website to clearly communicate the story of Taiwanese products, our sourcing capabilities and our UK distribution operation.
2. Warehouse Management System (WMS)
A major part of this role will be the development and improvement of our Warehouse Management System.
Our business involves importing food products internationally, receiving stock, managing inventory, tracking products and supplying customers in the UK.
You will help design a practical WMS that can support our day-to-day operations.
Potential functions include:
- Stock receiving
- Inventory management
- Product and SKU management
- Batch and lot number tracking
- Expiry/best-before date management
- Warehouse location management
- Stock movement tracking
- Purchase order management
- Sales order management
- Picking and packing
- Delivery management
- Stock adjustments
- Inventory reporting
- Barcode/QR-code integration
- Supplier information
- Customer information
- Product traceability
- Stock forecasting and reporting
Because we work with food products, stock traceability, batch management and date management are particularly important.
3. Business System Integration
We would like our website and internal systems to work together rather than operate as separate platforms.
You may be involved in developing integrations between:
Website → Customer Orders → Inventory → Warehouse → Delivery → Sales/Reporting
You will work with management to identify where manual processes can be replaced with automated digital workflows.
Examples may include:
- Automatically updating inventory
- Connecting customer orders with stock availability
- Generating warehouse picking information
- Producing stock reports
- Improving order processing
- Creating management dashboards
- Automating repetitive administrative tasks
- Connecting different software platforms through APIs
4. System Development & Automation
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving real business problems through technology.
You will be encouraged to identify inefficient processes and propose better solutions.
The role may involve:
- Developing new internal applications
- Database design and management
- API development and integration
- Automation
- Reporting dashboards
- Data analysis
- System maintenance
- User access and permissions
- Backup and security procedures
- Technical documentation
- Testing and troubleshooting
5. Working With Management & Operations
You will work closely with the directors and operational team.
You should be able to take a business requirement such as:
“We need to know exactly how much stock we have, where it is located, when it arrived and when it needs to be sold.”
and turn it into a practical technical solution.
We are looking for someone who can understand both technology and business operations.
You will not simply receive a list of technical tasks. We want someone who can contribute ideas and help us decide how our systems should develop as the company grows.
