Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Steel Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating steel sections and structures with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
Duties
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel fabrications using various fabrication techniques
- Performing MIG welding and other welding processes to join metal parts securely
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication
- Conducting quality inspections on finished products to meet specifications
- Assisting in the assembly of fabricated components into larger structures or systems where required in the factory
- Maintaining a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Fully qualified in fabrication & welding
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes for structural steel
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of assembly procedures
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and drawing interpretation
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to welding and metal fabrication environments
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
