Job Summary
As a Low Loader Driver at J Swingler Transport Ltd, you will play a vital role in our tight-knit operations team by ensuring timely and safe plant to job sites. As our business grows, we now have two vacancies for a HGV driver. These positions are a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to learn and progress within the Heavy Haulage Sector within the Construction industry. Our second vacancy is for a competent HGV Hiab driver with experience of lifting up to 14 tonne.
Duties
- Operate HGV vehicles safely and efficiently to transport plant (digger/dumpers/pavers etc) and occasionally materials to job sites.
- Conduct DVSA daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload customers plant/machinery as required, ensuring thorough chaining techniques are applied.
- Competent use of PDA/Tablet to receive jobs and record photographic evidence on collection and delivery.
- Effective communication with customer's site supervisors and our transport office.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies whilst operational
Requirements
- Valid Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and a CE driving licence entitlement. NPORS/CPCS Desirable (formal training available for appropriate candidate).
- Hiab/Low loader vacancy to hold a valid Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card and a CE driving licence entitlement. Must hold a valid NPORS Hiab ticket or equivalent
- Proven Experience as a Low Loader driver within construction or related fields preferable.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
