Veterinary Nurse – Weekend – Portsmouth

Up to £19.40ph DOE

Working hours:

ROLE 1

Every other weekend – Saturday 12:00-19:30 and Sunday 08:00-19:30

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.

ROLE 2

Week 1 – Sunday 08:00-19:30

Week 2 – Off

Week 3 – Saturday 12:00-19:30 and Sunday 08:00-19:30

Week 4 – Off

Week 5 – Sunday 08:00-19:30

Week 6 – Sunday 08:00-19:30

A weekend role with Vets Now allows you to further your ECC knowledge, whilst gaining a second income or balancing family commitments.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Key requirements

RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
